We started Guardian Angel Cat Sitting in December 1996 after many many years of thinking and studying about it. We have both always loved and adored animals, especially cats, and we both have an entrepreneurial spirit, so this was the perfect business for us! It was such a dream come true to escape the rat race of the corporate world and to do something I REALLY love! I can't imagine a better job than spending my days with my wonderful cat friends. Plus, I've met so many wonderful PEOPLE, too! Pet-people are the nicest people, by far!

A Little Background...

I (Cat) have a Bachelor's degree in Art from Mississippi State University. I worked around Atlanta in different graphic and fine art jobs for 10 years until the stress of the job and the horrible commute (those of you who live in Atlanta know what I mean) began to take it's toll on my health and attitude. That's when I decided that life is TOO short to spend it doing something that you don't really enjoy. I tried to think of the one thing that would make me happy and the idea that kept coming back again and again was the idea of loving on cats!! Then came the question... "How do you reconcile the need for money with the desire to pet and love on cats?" Well, the answer was, of course, cat sitting.

David was more than happy to help me with my new enterprise and together we studied and researched and worked toward creating Guardian Angel Cat Sitting. David works as a computer technician, but still helps me with the business when needed. David and I do all of cat sitting ourselves, with me doing about 99% of it! David has a few cat clients which he cares for and he also helps alot with the business and promotional aspects of Guardian Angel. We also have a backup person available in the event of an emergency. We try to cover all the bases!

We have no children, except for our fur-family which you will meet below. They're all we can handle right now! We enjoy being outdoors, creating art and music, and of course, playing and cuddling with our cats and dogs. Here's some pix of my wonderful family!!

Here's our old girl, Munchie. We acquired her when she was 14 yrs. old and destined for the shelter.  I just couldn't stand to think of her going there.

Here she is relaxing on the guest bed. Sadly we lost Munchie in July of 2007, but she had a long happy life.

Here's sweet lovable Marty. He showed up in my carport sick & starving. With our love and the help of Dr. Tonia Shatzel & Nanci King, he's now a happy, healthy member of our family!
